Conservitive White Male, 53yrs of age. I feel much the same as you, only reason we are in Iraq is to save(good?) little Hebrews from the(bad?) Moslems. Don't mind the GOP. Bush is a "gun totin'Texass Cowboy" waving the flag by attacking Iraq to cover his INABILITY to govern. If he can't kill them it confuses him.
Hi and welcome. While it makes me a little bit itchy to be in agreement with a conservative (;oD), it's reassuring to know he hasn't got the lot of y'all brainwashed.
Hi I am a soldier in the US Army. I respect that you want to support the troops by bringing them home. I know that you feel this way with the best interest of myself and my brothers in mind. However, we do not wish to come home, at least not yet. We believe in our mission, and we honestly want to stay until Iraq is stable enough that it can see peace for longer than 15 minutes after we leave. If we leave now, the elections in January have no chance. So, while it would be nice for all of us to be able to come home for Christmas with our families, we realize that for the greater good of this planet, we must continue working to accomplish this thankless task of liberation. Just something to think about.
