AlterNet: War on Iraq: The Mother of All Anti-War Forces

I am planning on watching "Farenheit 9/11" this weekend which is why I have been so wacky political, well more so than usual lately. I am uber-pissed that there isn't a stormwall of offended Americans collapsing on the capital of this country in outrage at what has been going on the last 3 and a half years. I am enraged that there are still people who not only support the president but still think he is a moral and ethical leader. I followed a link (which I will not link to here because it's just too offensive) to the GOP website and their page on John Edwards. Now he is a politician just like any other and I'm sure his scuples are just as shakey as anyone elses in Washington. I in now way assume that John Kerry is a white knight riding in on his firey steed to save us all and bring us to glory. He is a politician too and I put them all about half a step above perniscious gout on the scale of global usefullness. But the GOP is just being HATEFUL in this campaign. They are being downright UGLY! Kerry/Edwards isn't. Moveon.org isn't either. And do you know why? THEY DON'T HAVE TO BE!!!!!!! Everytime a republican or neo-con opens their mouths they make themselves look like elitist, genocidal horses asses. They don't have a leg to stand on and they know it so they are throwing juvenile hissy fits that would put my 3 year old drama queen daughter to shame. I added another blog to the links today and the writer talks about attending the Kerry/Edwards rally in Dayton. The Bush/Cheney supporters were standing at the entrance as the attendees went in yelling and calling them "stupid" for supporting the "losing candidate".

Can we all come in from recess now and GROW UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Obviously not, if this story is any indication:

AlterNet: War on Iraq: The Mother of All Anti-War Forces

"There is a remarkable scene in "Fahrenheit 9/11" when Lila Lipscomb talks with an anti-war activist outside the White House about the death of her 26-year-old son in Iraq. A pro-war passerby doesn't like what she overhears and announces, "This is all staged!"

Ms. Lipscomb turns to the woman, her voice shaking with rage, and says: "My son is not a stage. He was killed in Karbala, Apr. 2. It is not a stage. My son is dead." Then she walks away and wails, "I need my son.""

I'm disgusted. I'm at that point I approach every once in a while when I get completely and totally fed up with the human race and want nothing more than for someone to just drop a "human-smart" bomb to get rid of the lot of us. GAD!!!!!!!!

I see you have the full-blown (anti-freedom/anti-America hatred, delinquent resentments, juvenile ignorance left-wing 'liberal') virus. You need white blood cells, you don't need any more Michael Moore.

Actually, I don't hate America, if you would read the rest of my blog, you would see this. I love America. I hate what that pack of genocidal maniacs are doing to America. And if you could, please tell me what killing a bunch of Iraquis has to do with freedom? What does gutting the bill of rights have to do with Freedom? Tell me what forbidding consenting adults from getting married has to do with Freedom? What does denying a woman control of her own body have to do with Freedom?

You guys spout your love of freedom but only if it's freedom for things you agree with. If you don't agree with it, you're all for denying other people their freedoms.

Talk about juvenile ignorance not to mention blatant hypocrisy!

Oh I totally mourn for the future generations. They are being raised in an environment where discrimination is not only openly practiced but it's being touted as a Great American Atribute by the current administration. We've gone from being the Elitist but Helpful nation to being the Elitist and Genocidal nation. And none of it us covert or under the table anymore. The people of America have spoken and they all say it's ok to deny civil liberties and conquer foreign countries. They say "Of course we can have first strike rights, but no one else can". "Of course we can have nuclear weapons but no one else can."

I don't know if we'll ever recover from this. I really don't.
